Baldur’s Gate 3: Brilgor’s Corpse Location: Act 3 of Baldur’s Gate 3 takes us deeper into murders and mysteries surrounding Baldur’s Gate than the previous two acts combined.
With an entire city on the verge of tearing itself apart and an aggressive robotic police force guarding every corner of the city, the excitement takes over the minute player enters Act 3. To make matters worse, a beloved local religious leader was assassinated in what appears to be a murder-suicide performed by a refugee.
In this article, we will take a look at the mysteries of the Open Hand Temple in Baldur’s Gate 3 and also try to determine Brilgor’s Corpse Location and how to solve the secrets that it is hiding.
Baldur’s Gate 3: Brilgor’s Corpse Location [Revealed]
Shortly after entering Act 3 and the city of Rivington, players will come upon the Open Hand Temple, a holy temple with a lot of crowd discussions going on outside. The Open Hand Temple usually welcomes refugees such as yourself, but not right now due to the recent murder of their leader, Father Lorgan. He was allegedly assassinated by Brilgor, who happens to be one of the refugees who visited earlier.
The best course of action here is for the player to employ the “speak with the dead” skill to speak directly to Father Lorgan, in which players can interrogate him about where, when, and how he died, and, more significantly, who killed him. Father Lorgan would say that Brilgor was not the one who killed him, but rather a “dwarf dressed in red.”
After talking with Father Lorgan, players are advised to keep a character who can communicate with the dead in their party. Players should exit the room with Father Lorgan’s corpse through the back door and through the door directly across from them, which leads into the kitchen.
Instead of going via the hatch suggested by Sister Yannis, players should go through the door to the west of the kitchen, down the stairs, and outside.
Players should then proceed through the graveyard until they reach the burial close to the little mausoleum.
Interacting with the dirt mound next to the mausoleum allows the player to dig up Brilgor’s casket, and attacking it with a character reveals Brilgor’s dead corpse.
How to Solve Open Hand Murder Mystery in Baldur’s Gate 3?
Once the players have spoken with the dead and obtained the necessary information, it is time to go to the crime scene. Return to the kitchen and enter the hatch suggested by Sister Yannis, which will lead to the Open Hand Temple’s cellar. Once in the cellar, players should proceed down the corridor until they reach a big room with two statues, an altar, and a clearly visible panel of the wall that opens behind it.
When the player is ready to go, they should inspect the walls exactly adjacent to the two statues for an interactable plaque named “heraldic sign,” which when interacting with will disclose a button on both sides. By pressing the buttons, the player will be able to open the wall panel and go to the crime scene.
After defeating and looting the adversaries, the player should make a point of looting all nearby corpses, which are most likely the victims of the people the player just defeated. One of the victims will have the “flower key,” which will allow the player to continue with the quest. In addition, near the wooden platform, there will be a hole in the ground that can be examined for the murder weapon, “Stillmaker.”
When players have sufficient evidence that Brilgor is innocent and that Father Lorgan was murdered as part of a serial murder plan in the name of the god Bhaal, it is time to inform their Hollyphant companion, Valeria. And the quest is complete.
