How to Beat the Seized Construct in Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom The Seized Construct is a corrupted robot controlled by Ganondorf’s magic, transformed into a destructive weapon. It draws power from Gloom, a dark energy that blankets the arena floor, trapping Link and Mineru on the construct. To defeat the Seized Construct, you must push it into the surrounding barbed wires, causing damage and ultimately destroying it. However, this task is challenging due to the construct’s arsenal of attacks and abilities that can harm both you and Mineru.
Phases of the Seized Construct
phase 1. The Seized Construct primarily relies on close-range attacks like punches, kicks, and slams. You can defend yourself by using the Guard power to block its strikes and then retaliate with spikes or iron balls. Additionally, you have a cannon that can stun the construct from a distance, allowing you to quickly close in and push it back.
phase 2. During the battle, the Seized Construct will sprout two additional arms from its shoulders, enabling it to unleash powerful charged laser attacks that inflict substantial damage. To counter this, you need to either dodge or block the lasers while patiently seeking an opportunity to strike. Additionally, you can utilize your Zonai Charges to amplify your attacks, dealing extra damage and pushing the construct back even further.
Steps to beat the Seized Construct in each phase
Phase 1
1. Immediately equip a spiked iron ball to one hand, and a cannon to the other. You can swap for double spike balls if you want, but make sure you have access to a cannon for the second phase
2. Pushing the boss requires one hit to stun it, another to knock it to its knees, and one more to send it skidding backward. You have to do this quickly before it can recover
3. There are weapons to attach in the arena corners. Grab them quickly before the Seized Construct can reach you.
4. Use your Guard power to block its strikes and then counterattack with your spikes or iron balls.
5. Use your cannon to stun it from a distance and then rush in to knock it back.
Phase 2
1. When the Seized Construct starts flying, charge up a blast with the cannon and shoot at the boss to send it crashing down. It will be stunned for a while, so run up to it and get in 4 hits to deal damage.
2. If it starts flying again, just blast it out of the air again and repeat the process.
3. Use your Zonai Charges whenever you can. They will make your attacks more powerful and push the Seized Construct further back.
4. Dodge or block its laser attacks and wait for an opening to strike.
