How to Solve Wellspring Island Puzzle in Zelda Tears of the Kingdom: Wellspring Island is unlocked after completing the Ancient Zora Waterworks quest in The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom.
Prepare any health-replenishing foods you believe you will require before leaving. We also recommend packing plenty of Splash fruit and Keese eyes for the trip ahead. Don’t worry if you realize you need more during this part of the game; there will be a checkpoint where you can teleport directly.
Wellspring Island is built around a few recurring gimmicks: floating in water bubbles and using them to clean up mud, swimming up waterfalls, and using a hydrant to clean up even more mud.
So, without any further ado, let us explore how to solve Wellspring Island Puzzle in Zelda Tears of the Kingdom in this blog.

You will notice a lot of water bubbles shooting out of the ground and floating up to the sky right away. Use Ultrahand to pick up and move these bubbles to wash away mud puddles. A mud-covered chest with a Soldier II blade is next to a bubble maker.
Meet up with Sidon ahead, who will flee. To get deeper into the island, take the bubble that shoots diagonally next to where you talk to him. Continue to ride the bubbles and jump from one to the next.
When the ball inside the bubble starts blinking, it means the bubble is about to pop, and you can use that as a good signal to jump off at that point.
Following the series of bubbles, you will face two constructs. Beat them and proceed, only to be met with a ton of sludge and a Zonai hydrant spewing water. Grab the hydrant with the Ultrahand and clean off the sludge. When you do, you’ll notice an opening with a chest inside:
This chest contains a treasure map that will take you to the Depths, but we’ll stick to the island for now.
It should be noted that the hydrant can be turned on and off by hitting it, and that it will drain your battery while running.
Take the hydrant up the only path forward, wiping away the mud as you leap.
Check nearby crevices for health-restoring items such as silent shrooms and hearty radish that will assist you.
Remove some mud that is clogging up a waterfall ahead. Make sure to use the hydrant to clean off sludge at the top of this platform (marked below) before jumping into the waterfall, as there is a chest with a portable hydrant inside:
You can either Ultrahand the hydrant up or use a splash fruit to clean the sludge.
Glide down towards the waterfalls while wearing the Zora armor. He will shoot up into the air when Link makes contact, so you’ll need to use the boost from one waterfall to get to the next. Make sure to ride the waterfalls to the north in order to obtain the chest containing three hover stones:
Continue climbing towards the shrine in the distance, which serves as a good halfway point on Wellspring Island Puzzle in Zelda Tears of the Kingdom.

After finishing the shrine, proceed up the stairs. Place a bird on the ramp facing forward using Ultrahand. Once you are on it, press the orange glowing switch with an arrow on the left to propel the bird forward.
Continue the path to another structure, this time with a flame-emitter club. After you’ve defeated it, jump onto the waterfall in the southeast to ascend higher. Go to the westernmost platform and open a chest to get another old map. Continue riding the waterfalls up, as you did in the first half of the island.
There will be three constructs defending a chest after you head up. Remove them all and open the chest to obtain a Soldier III blade.
Climb the ruins’ walls to see more water bubbles. Use Recall on a bubble and jump on it to transport you to the far island.
Use Ultrahand on the nearby rectangular pieces to build a ramp to the small floating platform above the water to claim a Captain II reaper weapon from the chest, as shown below:
Stitch more rectangles together with Ultrahand to make a ramp for the water bubbles to move diagonally to the next platform. Ride it to the top.
To obtain an opal, use either a splash fruit or the Hydrant capsule item (which you obtained from an earlier chest).
Attach a fan to each wing of a bird with Ultrahand and a wheeled cart to the bottom of the bird as follows:
Turn on the fans, and the bird will take you to Sidon. And with that, you will have solved the Wellspring Island Puzzle.
Conclusion
Wellspring Island Puzzle is a long and time-consuming process. However, once you get used to the weird gravity and master the bubble mechanics, it gets a lot easier. Just follow this simple guide to the T and you will have easily solved the puzzle. At the end the bird will take you to Sidon, who will guide you further in the quest.
